About Elie Nzweme
I am an IT and cybersecurity professional based in Phoenix, Arizona, with enterprise technical support experience and hands-on projects across identity and access management, security operations, Microsoft cloud technologies, Windows infrastructure, vulnerability management, and automation.
Professional Background
My professional experience includes supporting users, endpoints, applications, identity systems, cloud services, Microsoft 365, VPN connectivity, printers, business applications, and other technologies used in enterprise environments.
This experience has helped me understand how technical issues affect employees and business operations. It has also reinforced the importance of secure access, reliable systems, accurate documentation, structured troubleshooting, customer service, and effective communication.
Alongside my professional work, I build hands-on labs and automation projects that expand into identity and access management, security operations, Windows Server, Microsoft cloud, vulnerability management, endpoint security, Linux, networking, and enterprise infrastructure.
Technical Focus
My projects are designed around technologies that work together in realistic business environments rather than as isolated tools.
Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, joiner-mover-leaver workflows, provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, delegated administration, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity governance.
Splunk Enterprise, Sysmon, Windows event logs, dashboards, threat detection, incident investigation, MITRE ATT&CK, vulnerability management, and security reporting.
Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, Microsoft Defender, cloud identity, endpoint administration, governance, and hybrid infrastructure.
Windows Server, Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, DNS, file services, NTFS permissions, SMB, VMware, Linux, networking, and endpoint administration.
Nessus vulnerability scanning, credentialed assessments, finding validation, risk prioritization, remediation planning, and technical reporting.
PowerShell scripting, CSV-driven workflows, identity lifecycle automation, asset tracking, audit logging, reporting, and repeatable administrative processes.
Identity and Access Management
Identity and access management is one of my primary areas of professional development. My hands-on work includes Active Directory account administration, department-based RBAC, security groups, delegated administration, access auditing, Windows LAPS, and PowerShell automation.
My Active Directory Identity Lifecycle and Access Management Automation Toolkit is designed around the joiner, mover, and leaver lifecycle. The project uses structured request data, RBAC mappings, PowerShell automation, audit logging, secure file access, Splunk monitoring, and planned ticket evidence to simulate an enterprise IAM workflow.
I continue developing my understanding of role management, entitlements, access certifications, segregation of duties, privileged access, identity governance, and enterprise platforms such as SailPoint.

My Enterprise SOC Lab focuses on building an end-to-end security monitoring environment using Windows systems, Sysmon, Splunk Universal Forwarder, and Splunk Enterprise.
The environment collects and analyzes security events related to authentication, failed logons, privileged activity, process execution, PowerShell, account creation, account lockouts, services, and endpoint telemetry.
This work supports practical experience with SPL, dashboards, Windows event analysis, security investigations, detection engineering concepts, and MITRE ATT&CK mapping.

My Microsoft technology experience includes Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows endpoints, identity administration, and cloud-based services.
My certification path includes Azure administration, identity and access administration, security operations, cloud fundamentals, and AI fundamentals. These certifications support my hands-on work with Microsoft technologies and enterprise environments.
I continue developing skills in Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, endpoint security, Conditional Access, identity protection, cloud governance, and security operations.
View Microsoft CertificationsAutomation and PowerShell
I use PowerShell to automate and document repetitive administrative processes. My projects include identity lifecycle workflows, Active Directory reporting, account auditing, asset tracking, scanner workflows, CSV processing, and audit-log generation.
I focus on creating automation that is understandable, traceable, and useful in operational environments. This includes validating inputs, recording actions, handling duplicate information, and producing evidence that can support troubleshooting or audits.
View Automation ProjectsCertifications
My certification path combines cybersecurity, identity, cloud, security operations, networking, Splunk, systems administration, Linux, technical support, and Agile collaboration.
CompTIA CySA+, Security+, Security Analytics Professional, Microsoft SC-200, and Splunk Core Certified Power User.
Microsoft Certified Identity and Access Administrator Associate through SC-300, supported by hands-on Active Directory and identity lifecycle projects.
Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Fundamentals, AI Fundamentals, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Network+, and TestOut technical certifications.
Project Philosophy
I prefer projects that demonstrate how multiple technologies work together to solve a realistic problem. Instead of showing only a single configuration screen, I document the architecture, implementation process, security controls, troubleshooting, validation, monitoring, and outcomes.
For example, an identity project can include an employee request, approval workflow, RBAC mapping, account provisioning, group membership, file access, endpoint policies, audit logs, Splunk monitoring, and deprovisioning.
This approach demonstrates both technical implementation and an understanding of the business processes surrounding enterprise technology.
